Mrs Tanya Mahajan Bajaj is a happy parent, thanks to Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar. Currently, her daughter Atibha is in class 4 and her son Eraaj is in class 6. The siblings are all rounders , scoring great in academics and also excelling in co-curriculars and sports.

In an in-depth conversation regarding the growth of the siblings, the mother explains what makes the school the perfect place to help children blossom. Read edited excerpts

Do brief us about the progress of both the children at the school?

Both my children are doing great at the school. I, as a parent, am very happy with their achievements and growth. Also, as parents one is relieved to know that there is no unnecessary pressure regarding the classwork. The syllabus is taught in a very flexible manner. I feel this is the USP of the school.

How do you feel is the student-teacher relation in school?

The teachers are just great. When the students are in the primary wing, they nurture the kids with the same maternal sensitivity and warmth. But as the kids reach class 6 i.e. the secondary wing, the teachers then have to become more strict so that the students become responsible and more aware of the surroundings and this is exactly what happens in the school. The kids are nurtured with care in the school.

Very important indeed! Are your kids into curriculars and sports?

Eraaj loves to play football. Although my husband is a cricket fanatic and the only sport discussion at home is about cricket. But my son has picked up more on football and he has got this love from the school, as we did not introduce him to this sport yet. So you can well see the positive influence of the school.

On the other hand, my daughter Atibha loves music. She is very fond of music and is extremely talented in vocal singing. I would credit the music teacher in the school Amita ma’am. She is a very special teacher . She has instilled a great love for music in both my children. Eraaj is also trained in piano and has started learning guitar recently.

And how is the academic growth going?

My children are good at academics as well. They are good in every subject and enjoy studying. My daughter is younger and likes all subjects equally.

So you seem quite satisfied as a parent?

I am very satisfied as a parent. My children are in a safe haven of learning and progress. So, I am totally happy with the school.
