Schools support primary students by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that helps young children transition smoothly into formal schooling. “We chose Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, because of its strong academic foundation combined with a holistic approach to child development. The school’s value-based education, disciplined yet nurturing environment, and focus on both academics and co-curricular activities gave us confidence that our child would grow not just intellectually but also emotionally and socially,” shares Soumonetra Sinha Basu, whose daughter, Trishika, studies in Class I here.

Read on to know how teachers use activity-based and play-oriented methods to make learning enjoyable.

How are the teachers supporting primary kids?

The teachers are extremely caring, patient, and attentive towards primary students. They understand that every child learns at a different pace and provide personalized attention wherever required. Their encouragement, warmth, and positive reinforcement help children feel confident and motivated to learn.

Which best practices do teachers use for kids?

Teachers use activity-based learning, interactive classroom sessions, visual aids, storytelling, and hands-on activities to make concepts engaging and easy to understand. Regular assessments, constructive feedback, and encouragement to ask questions help build curiosity and a strong learning foundation.

How are the safety protocols here?

The school maintains a very safe and secure environment. Entry and exit are well monitored, staff is alert and responsive, and safety protocols are strictly followed. As parents, this gives us complete peace of mind knowing our child is in safe hands throughout the school day.

How is the parent-teacher interaction?

Parent-teacher interaction is open, transparent, and very effective. Teachers regularly share updates on academic progress, behaviour, and areas of improvement. We feel heard and involved in our child’s learning journey, which helps in supporting her better at home.

Which extracurricular activities boost her personality?

Participation in skating, dance, Annual Sports Day, and the Annual Day event has played a significant role in boosting Trishika’s confidence, discipline, teamwork, and stage presence. These activities have helped her become more expressive, energetic, and socially confident.

How is her learning and growth so far?

Trishika has shown excellent overall growth. She is particularly good in Mathematics and demonstrates strong interest and confidence in the subject. She has also made commendable progress in Hindi, especially considering her mother tongue is Bengali. Her participation in sports and cultural activities reflects her balanced development, and we are extremely happy with her academic progress, confidence level, and enthusiasm for learning.
