Moral education is crucial in the school curriculum as it helps students develop a strong sense of ethics, values, and social responsibility. “Teachers here teach students to differentiate between right and wrong, foster empathy, respect, and understanding for others, and promote a positive school environment,” shares Joyeeta Banerjee whose daughter Ashmita studies in class VII at Apeejay School, Kharghar.
Read on to know how by incorporating moral education, this school has prepared students to become conscientious and responsible citizens.
Why did you choose Apeejay for admission?
The major reasons for zeroing down on this school for my child are the vicinity of the school which saves time commuting, its immense reputation of guiding students to score high in Board exams, and focusing on extracurricular activities.
How are the teachers here?
The teachers here are very supportive and empathetic towards students. They share information appropriately and are extremely open-minded along with being involved in academic and co-curricular activities. A couple of them have become role models for my daughter. Teachers are available even beyond school hours and render help whenever requested. The activity-based teaching improved engagement in various subjects for my daughter.
How are the school infrastructure and facilities?
The facilities were moderate earlier. However, they have substantially evolved over the last few months. Recently the washrooms, playground, and library have graduated to become highly contemporary and comfortable for students. The CCTV cameras in every classroom and even the corridors have made the environment completely secure.
Which extracurricular activities does Ashmita enjoy at school?
Ashmita enjoys dancing, arts and crafts, singing, and taking part in quizzes. She also enjoys her participation in various Olympiads and special interest club activities each year.

How has Ashmita’s journey been at school so far?
Ashmita has been a student of Apeejay School since the nursery. Over all these years she has developed intense affection and connection with school. Her exposure at the school has supported her to become a confident individual in all places. The school has helped her to gain the confidence to participate in various contests and platforms outside the school premises as well, which has widened her knowledge and enriched her potential.
Do you feel Apeejay is like a second home for your child?
Yes, absolutely. My child prefers to attend school every day. She enjoys her time with teachers and peers at school very much. She even likes to celebrate the special days of her life at school.
Are you happy and satisfied as a parent?
As a parent, when I see her happy, engaged, confident, learn moral values and principles of life, I feel excited and extremely satisfied. I feel proud when she performs in various leadership assignments like the position of being a house captain, monitoring her class, and leading in various projects.
