‘My child has shown positive behavioural change because of her teacher’
“Our priority was to find a school that would facilitate the all-round development of my daughter,” says the mother
Concerned about her daughter’s overall growth, Minu Ghosal, Company Secretary, Volta Fashion Pvt Ltd, chose Apeejay School, Saket, to give her child the required exposure in her foundational years. And she has not been disappointed. On the contrary, she credits the teachers at school for instilling confidence and positivity in her daughter. In an interview, the mother, whose daughter Sanchal is in nursery, tells us about her experience.

Why did you pick Apeejay School, Saket?
Our priority was to find a school that would facilitate the all-round development of my daughter. We personally visited Apeejay School, Saket, and got a positive vibe. Before enrolling our daughter in Apeejay, we also researched its year-on-year academic performance and other achievements thoroughly. We realised it would be the ideal place for the kind of growth we hoped to see in Sanchal. What also reaffirmed our belief was our interaction with the principal and the faculty who gave us a warm welcome and addressed all our concerns.
What were some of your major concerns as parents when you enrolled your child?
With children being confined to their homes for nearly two years due to COVID-19, parents like us were mostly concerned about how their little one would adjust to a school environment. Sanchal, for instance, was too shy to interact with people earlier. But Apeejay has made every effort to make my child feel very comfortable.
How is the school supporting your daughter’s overall growth?
I cannot express how happy I am with the school, especially with Sanchal’s class teacher Lakshmi ma’am. Thanks to her, my daughter has shown considerable growth since the time she joined school. To help her overcome shyness, the teacher began involving her in class activities. Not only has Sanchal improved in academics but has also shown positive behaviourial changes. The class teacher continuously shares feedback with the parents about their children’s development. Most importantly, the children in the class have developed a wonderful bond with their teacher.
What kind of improvements are you seeing in your daughter?
Sanchal’s handwriting has improved considerably. She is beginning to take responsibility for her homework; I do not have to push her. She has also begun to participate in various co-curricular activities. I was overjoyed to see her perform at the school’s Annual Appreciation Day recently. And the credit goes to her teachers alone for building her stage presence and for inculcating new skills.
What about safety measures for children?
Parents do not need to worry about their child’s safety since they are escorted by the staff right from the gate to the classroom. The campus and the classrooms are also very clean. Besides, the pre-primary principal personally monitors the classes and sometimes even comes to the parking lot to see students off.
Would you recommend the school to others?
I have already recommended Apeejay to my friends and keep telling them about how good the school is.
