‘My child has become more communicative and responsive’

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions for a child’s early years, as it shapes their learning habits, confidence, and overall development. Mrs Sonakshi, mother of Zubair Singh (UKG), shares her experience and insights on how the right school environment has positively influenced her child’s growth.

How has your journey with this kindergarten been so far?

The journey with the school has been extremely positive. My child genuinely enjoys going to school every day, which itself says a lot. As a parent, seeing that enthusiasm and happiness reassures me that he feels safe, comfortable, and valued there. 

What positive changes have you noticed in your child since joining the school?

He has become more confident, communicative, and responsive. The teachers are very cooperative, and I have never faced any concerns regarding my son’s growth, learning, or overall well-being, which is very important for me. 

How do you manage quality time with your child?

I try to focus on play-oriented activities rather than academics at home. Most of his learning happens at school. We also travel a lot, which gives us opportunities to bond, talk, explore new places, and spend meaningful time together.

Which aspect of the school’s approach has been most impactful?

The school’s approach has greatly helped him become more vocal and interactive. His speech has improved noticeably, and he is learning very fast. I strongly believe that the environment, teaching methods, and encouragement provided by the school play a major role in this development.   

How is his eating habit at school, considering toddlers can be fussy?

Fortunately, my child is not a fussy eater at all. He eats comfortably and has never created any issues related to food, either at school or otherwise. His dietary habits are well-managed, and I feel reassured knowing that the school also supports healthy routines.

Does he have any hobbies or interests outside academics?

He really enjoys cycling and outdoor activities. He is quite active and loves movement-based play. These interests help him stay energetic and happy, and I appreciate that the school also encourages such activities alongside academics and classroom learning experiences. He also participated in the cycling activity organised by the school, and it was a wonderful experience. He enjoyed it so much that he keeps asking when it will happen again. Such activities strengthen parent-child bonding and make learning joyful and memorable.

Any parenting tips you would like to share with other toddler parents?

I am still learning as a parent, but I believe in making my child as independent as possible. Encouraging small responsibilities and self-reliance really helps. I am glad the school follows a similar approach, which creates a healthy balance between home and school.

Are you satisfied with the school’s support and future continuation?

The school has always been approachable and ready to listen whenever I had a query. All the teachers have been supportive throughout. I definitely plan to continue his education with Apeejay School, as the trust and comfort level are already well-established.
