Mini Marathon 2024: A celebration of health, fitness, and community spirit
Presented by ASM and AIMC, the event brought together over 600 participants in a high-energy race for wellness
What does it take to unite a community around health and fitness? For over 600 participants at the Mini Marathon 2024, the answer was simple: determination, camaraderie, and a shared vision for a healthier future. On December 1, 2024, Apeejay School of Management (ASM) and Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) hosted the 6.5 km Mini Marathon in New Delhi. This event aimed not only to promote physical well-being but also to strengthen community bonds through the collective spirit of fitness enthusiasts, students, and local residents.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr Abhishek Ratkal (Indian Revenue Service, Joint Director of Income Tax), Ms Sudha Yadav (Indian Revenue Service, Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax), and Mr Ajay Dalal, a renowned Indian taekwondo athlete and former Team India captain. Their motivational speeches set an uplifting tone, encouraging participants to prioritise their health and stay committed to fitness goals.
“Events like these remind us of the importance of togetherness in achieving a common goal – a healthier tomorrow!” shared Dr Ratkal, reflecting the core spirit of the marathon.

With over 600 participants, the marathon exemplified an overwhelming sense of community spirit and a shared vision for a healthier future. The high energy and camaraderie among runners highlighted the positive impact of such initiatives on building a cohesive, health-conscious society.
“The energy was infectious, and the support from the community made this experience unforgettable,” remarked Mitanshi, one of the participants. The collective enthusiasm truly demonstrated the power of unity in promoting health and well-being.
