At the Microsoft 365 Copilot Wave 2 event, Microsoft introduced several new AI-driven features for businesses. Highlights included Copilot Pages, which uses AI to compile insights from work data into an editable document with a shareable link, and autonomous AI agents that assist with task automation, like managing email. Updates for Microsoft 365 apps, such as Narrative Builder in PowerPoint and Python integration in Excel, were also announced.

The virtual event was hosted by CEO Satya Nadella and streamed live on LinkedIn. Microsoft is enhancing its AI-powered Copilot across all 365 applications with Copilot Wave 2, introducing several new features based on user feedback:

Excel: AI assists with formulas, data visualisation, and conditional formatting.

Python in Excel: AI enables advanced analysis without manual coding.

PowerPoint: Narrative Builder drafts presentations from a single prompt.

Teams: Summarizes meetings and chat discussions.

Outlook: Prioritizes and summarizes emails.

Word: On-canvas collaboration with Copilot.

OneDrive: AI finds, summarizes, and compares files without opening them.

These updates aim to streamline workflows and boost productivity across platforms.
