At Apeejay School, Noida, students strive for academic excellence with consistent dedication, guided learning, and strong support systems. Meet three bright achievers — Saanvi Jha (98.6%), Aarika Sood (97.4%), and Anvi Mishra (97%) from Class VI-C (academic year 2024-25) who share their study strategies and academic journeys in their words.

Saanvi said that she has always been academically inclined since the beginning of my schooling. “My study strategy was simple yet effective. First, I try to understand the questions and then interpret the answers in my words. After learning them, I would test myself by covering the answers and trying to recall them,” she said.

Her teachers played a huge role in guiding her as well. “They helped me grasp difficult concepts and motivated me to stay focused. I found English grammar a bit challenging during my second unit tests, but with practice, I improved significantly by the time of the finals. I made it a point to study every day, around 45 minutes to an hour on weekdays and nearly two hours on weekends,” Saanvi shared.

Aarika‘s strategy involved keeping up with the class’s lessons. “For instance, if we were about to begin a new chapter, I would go through it a day in advance. Initially, I found Mathematics a little tough, but I began practising five questions daily, and it helped me perform well in the finals. My Math teacher was extremely supportive; she would go over topics multiple times until I was clear. I never hesitated to ask questions in class. I believe teachers are there to help us, and I used that to my advantage,” she said.

For students moving to Class VI, Aarika’s advice is to start taking studies seriously. “I used to study for an hour daily, revising what was done in school, which made my final exam preparation smoother. Of course, I did feel nervous sometimes, but my teachers and parents constantly encouraged me, saying it was normal and I would do well,” she added.

Anvi, who was thrilled with her result, said that her study strategy was to cover the syllabus early and keep revising it regularly. “I made sure to study every day for about two to three hours, depending on what was taught in school. Fortunately, I didn’t find any subject particularly difficult. My mother, who is also a teacher, helped me a lot with my studies, especially in the subjects I found tricky. In school, I felt comfortable asking my teachers for help whenever I had doubts, even on the day of an exam, when they came to class. Their support, along with my mother’s guidance, made a big difference in my academic journey,” she shared.
