MBA students must learn financial accounting to effectively analyse financial statements, understand profitability, manage costs, and make data-driven decisions. It equips them with essential skills to evaluate business performance, optimise budgets, and communicate financial strategies, ensuring they are well-prepared for leadership roles in diverse industries.
Thus, the Finance Club of Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka recently organised an engaging online quiz on Financial Accounting. The idea was to reinforce understanding of fundamental accounting principles through a competitive multiple-choice format.

The quiz attracted participation from both offline and online students, with 15 students attending in the classroom and 16 joining remotely. This hybrid setup allowed for flexibility and inclusiveness, ensuring that all interested students could participate regardless of location. The event focused on essential financial accounting concepts, such as financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and the accounting cycle. Through a carefully curated series of multiple-choice questions, participants had the opportunity to test their theoretical knowledge and apply accounting principles to practical scenarios. The quiz was time-limited to 20 minutes, encouraging quick thinking and fostering a competitive yet educational atmosphere.
The event was highly interactive, featuring real-time scoring and a live leaderboard that displayed rankings, motivating participants and enhancing the competitive spirit. The hybrid format not only increased accessibility but also fostered active engagement from students, both in the classroom and online. The quiz effectively assessed students’ financial acumen while reinforcing key accounting concepts in a practical context.

After the event, participants shared overwhelmingly positive feedback. They appreciated the challenge and the opportunity to benchmark their knowledge against peers. The top performers in the quiz were Manya Jain, who secured the first position, and Sukriti Jain in second place, demonstrating strong financial accounting knowledge.
Overall, the quiz successfully achieved its objective of providing a stimulating and educational experience, helping students assess their skills and reinforcing critical accounting concepts in a dynamic format.
