In the recently announced NEET UG 2025 result, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg student Riya Vasudev has achieved an extraordinary 99.91 percentile, marking her as one of the top scorers in India. With her name potentially appearing in the NEET UG 2025 rank list and toppers list, Riya credits her stunning performance – especially in Biology – to one thing: complete devotion to NCERT. In this conversation, she opens up about her prep methods, common mistakes, and smart strategies for future aspirants.
Riya, your performance in NEET UG 2025 is exceptional. How did you master Biology so well?
Honestly, my entire Biology prep was NCERT-based. I did not touch any other reference books. I read NCERT multiple times – word by word, line by line. You should know every sentence by heart.
Was there any specific strategy you followed for daily preparation?
Yes, on the days we had lectures, I would come home and immediately revise the NCERT chapter we studied. After a few days, I’d go over it again, revise thoroughly, and then solve previous years’ questions related to that topic.
Any tips for future NEET aspirants, especially for Biology?
Absolutely – the more times you read NCERT, the better. Memorise it deeply. Also, don’t underestimate the NEET UG 2025 PYQs – they help you understand the pattern and recall faster.
Which Biology topics should students give special attention to?
Focus well on Genetics and Plant Physiology. Plant Physiology from Class 11 is tricky – it needs understanding, not just mugging.
Between Class 11 and 12 NCERT, which one is more important?
Definitely Class 11. It’s more difficult and conceptual. Class 12 gets revised during boards, so students should allocate more time to 11th NCERT for NEET.
