Manthan 2025: Celebrating the spirit of Hindi and Sanskrit  

Inter-school competition at Apeejay School, Greater Noida, inspires young learners to embrace India’s linguistic heritage with creativity, confidence, and pride

Language is not just a medium of communication, but a reflection of culture, heritage, and identity. To nurture this spirit and to highlight the timeless relevance of Hindi, Apeejay School, Greater Noida, organised an Inter-school Competition ‘Manthan’ on 20 August 2025. The event brought together several schools from Noida and Greater Noida, offering students a platform to showcase their talent while deepening their love for Hindi and Sanskrit.    

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Principal of the school, Dr Sarita Pande, along with the Chief Guest, renowned musician and lecturer Dr Shubha Sharma, and Acharya Alankar Sharma, Manager in a leading IT company. Students invoked auspicious beginnings with a devotional prayer to Lord Ganesha, after which the dignitaries were felicitated with mementoes.

The competitions spanned across classes III to VIII, encouraging creativity, expression, and confidence among young learners. Ajeetesh Jha, student of class VII, and Ira Misra, student of class VIII and Amrit Bindav won the competition: संस्कृत प्रतियोगिता. Adding to the cultural richness, a special Sanskrit competition was held in observance of Sanskrit Week. Students presented the divine dialogue between Shri Krishna and Arjuna from the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita

At the valedictory ceremony, judges praised the eloquence and creativity of participants, while Principal Dr Sarita Pande encouraged students to keep exploring the beauty of Hindi and Sanskrit. She lauded their efforts and extended her best wishes for their bright future.

Through Manthan 2025, Apeejay School, Greater Noida, not only celebrated the richness of India’s linguistic heritage but also inspired young learners to take pride in their mother tongue, making the event both meaningful and memorable.
