India is one of the greatest givers in the world. Our nation has given much to the world whether it be in education, literature, spirituality, food, music and the list goes on. But if there has to be a top ten list, Mango the fruit will certainly be amongst India’s best gifts to the world.
After all, it is not for nothing that this yellow summer delight is called the king of all fruits. The rich taste, impeccable sweetness, juicy flavor all make it a savoury delight to wait for. And Mango is also full of vital nutrients. Laden with key vitamins and minerals, this seasonal delight is not just rich in taste but also in health.
To acquaint students with the many virtues of this fruit and also to enhance their creative skills and positive affection towards food, students across classes 2 and 3 at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, participated in an exciting Mango craft activity.

The young learners displayed their out of the box thinking by carving mangoes into various shapes and designs. They skilfully crafted items like leaves, corn, burgers, fish, turtles, butterflies, eggs, and even a mango bowl out of the fruit. The activity allowed the students to explore their artistic skills while enjoying the delightful taste of mangoes.
The teachers were mesmerised to observe how this simple activity brought out the latent creative and constructive streak from within the students. This fun and educational experience not only boosted students’ enthusiasm but also went a long way in highlighting that education can be a fun process.
