Ritik Maheshwari, an alumnus from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with a specialisation in Operations and Marketing. He chose ASM after being encouraged by his elder brother and hasn’t looked back since. Whether it was participating in Synergy, managing a live project at Max Healthcare, or being campus placed at Sepoy Beverages—Ritik’s time at ASM was filled with growth, learning, and meaningful connections. Read edited excerpts:

So Ritik, why did you choose ASM for your PGDM?

My elder brother, Rishabh Agarwal, who is also an ASM alumnus, strongly recommended it. He had a great experience, and he told me the faculty and environment were excellent. That motivated me to apply, and it turned out to be the right decision.

What did you learn at ASM that stays with you today?

A lot. Time management, working in teams, understanding how to communicate with seniors—all these were part of our daily learning. But more than that, I learned how to stay calm and focused under pressure, which helps me in the real world now.

Which faculty or course stood out the most for you?

The operations faculty, without a doubt. They were incredibly supportive—even during the final stages when pressure was high. Their guidance, both academic and personal, made a huge difference in my journey.

What were some of your key extracurricular experiences at ASM?

I participated in almost everything—Synergy, tests, workshops, and more. I also did a live project with Max Healthcare, which was a fantastic hands-on experience. I even volunteered at many events, which helped build my confidence and team skills.

Were you campus placed? How was the experience?

Yes, I was placed at Sepoy Beverages through the ASM placement cell. The college trained us well—with mock interviews, resume sessions, and group discussions. I felt confident walking into the real interview because I had already been through the drill.

And finally, what inspired you to choose a career in operations?

I always wanted to work in a role that was core, hands-on, and challenging. Operations gave me that excitement. When Sepoy Beverages came to campus, my mentor encouraged me to apply because it fit my interest perfectly—and I’m glad I did.
