‘Maa, you’ve been my constant in this world’

Dear Maa,
I don’t say it nearly enough, but I hope you know how deeply I love and appreciate you. It’s hard to find the right words because so much of what I feel isn’t easy to put into sentences—it’s in the way I think of you when I’m tired, when I’m lost, when I’m proud of something and just want to share it with you.

You’ve been my constant in this world. Through your quiet strength, your patience, your sacrifices—so many of which I probably still don’t even realize—you’ve shaped who I am. I see now how often you put yourself last so I could have more, how you held back tears so I could feel safe, how you smiled even when you were tired or hurt.
I know I don’t always show it, but I carry your love with me every day. It’s in the way I try to be kind, to be strong, to care for others. That all started with you. And even when we don’t talk much or life pulls us in different directions, you’re always with me—in my heart, in my thoughts, in the way I live.
Thank you for being you. For loving me through everything. For being my mom in all the ways that matter most.
Happy Mother’s Day, with all my love.
Forever your child,
Archee
