Little patriots celebrate the 76th Republic Day at this school

The Pre-primary Wing of Apeejay School, Saket, commemorated the 76th Republic Day on January 23, 2025, with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event aimed to instil in young learners a deep sense of national pride, unity, and love for the country. The celebration began with children dressed in vibrant attire reflecting the colours of the Indian National Flag — Saffron, White, and Green.

The hues symbolised the essence of India’s unity in diversity and created a lively, festive atmosphere. The young students confidently carried the spirit of the day, and their excitement was palpable in their cheerful faces.

Parents also joined hands to make the event meaningful by preparing Tricolour-themed food. Dishes in orange, white, and green added to the visual charm and showcased the enthusiasm of families to participate in this patriotic celebration. The involvement of parents truly made the event a collaborative and enriching experience. 

Engaging activities for young minds 

The day featured a variety of well-planned activities to educate and engage the little ones about the importance of Republic Day. Teachers introduced the significance of the Indian Constitution in an age-appropriate manner, encouraging curiosity and respect for the nation’s achievements. The event included: 

·         Flag-making activities: Students crafted miniature flags using eco-friendly materials, learning about the significance of the Tricolour. 

·         Patriotic songs: The Pre-primary Wing echoed with melodious voices as the children sang songs dedicated to India, filling the air with pride and joy. 

·         Storytelling sessions: Teachers narrated tales of freedom fighters and India’s journey toward becoming a Republic, capturing the attention of the young audience. 

These activities left a lasting impression on the children, fostering a sense of patriotism while providing a fun learning experience. 

The event was more than just a celebration; it was an opportunity to instil national pride and civic responsibility in the minds of young learners. By combining creativity, collaboration, and education, the celebration encouraged the students to appreciate the values of unity, diversity, and democracy. 

Parents lauded the efforts of the school in organising such an impactful event. They appreciated how it helped children connect with India’s rich history and culture joyfully and interactively.
