Instilling values of kindness, empathy, and compassion at an early age plays a vital role in shaping children into thoughtful and responsible individuals. Keeping this objective in mind, Apeejay School, Model Town, organised a heartwarming and engaging session titled ‘Centre of Niceness’ for the students of Grade II. The session aimed to help young learners understand the importance of being kind, caring, and considerate in their daily lives.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who eagerly shared their own experiences of kindness. With bright smiles and innocent honesty, the children spoke about helping their mothers and siblings at home, sharing toys and stationery with friends, and guiding classmates whenever needed. These simple yet meaningful acts reflected their growing understanding of empathy and social responsibility.
Adding to the learning experience, the students were provided with thoughtfully designed worksheets that encouraged them to reflect on their kind behaviour. They completed the activities with great interest, carefully expressing their thoughts through drawings and words. Many students proudly presented their worksheets, confidently sharing how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s day.
The session was interactive, joyful, and filled with positive energy. Teachers guided the discussion with warmth, reinforcing the message that kindness is a habit that grows stronger when practised every day. The young learners not only grasped the concept but also showed eagerness to incorporate it into their daily routines.

Overall, the session proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience for the students. It successfully nurtured values of compassion, cooperation, and gratitude, leaving the classroom filled with smiles, positivity, and a renewed commitment to spreading kindness; one small act at a time.
