Little eyes, Little lenses: Photography day at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar

The tiny tots of the school discovered the joy of storytelling through pictures

To mark World Photography Day, the little learners of Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar picked up their cameras with excitement and turned into young photographers for the day. The school’s initiative aimed to nurture curiosity and creativity by letting children see the world through their own unique lenses.

What unfolded was a delightful experience. The children explored their surroundings with enthusiasm – capturing the joyful smiles of their friends, the colorful slides and swings in the playground, blooming flowers in the garden, and even the fluffy white clouds drifting lazily across the blue sky. Each photograph reflected not just an image, but also the emotions and perspectives of the young photographers.

Teachers guided the students to notice little details around them, encouraging them to look closer at everyday wonders. Some children clicked pictures of leaves shining with morning dew, while others framed their favorite toys and classroom corners. In doing so, they learnt that photography is more than just pressing a button – it is about noticing beauty in the ordinary.

The activity proved to be more than fun. It helped children develop a sense of observation, patience, and storytelling. Each photograph became a window into their world, reminding adults of the innocence and wonder often overlooked in daily life.

In celebrating World Photography Day this way, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar not only introduced children to the art of photography but also helped them discover the deeper lesson it carries: to pause, observe, and cherish the small moments that make life beautiful.
