Cute giggles, excited laughter and encouraging applause echoed across the venue, setting the perfect tone for the day. The atmosphere reflected not competition alone, but a shared spirit of fun, learning and participation.

Pratispradha-Little Olympian, the much-awaited Primary Sports Day, was a vibrant celebration of young athletic spirit, bringing together the true essence of sportsmanship. The occasion seamlessly blended engaging activity-based games with boundless enthusiasm and joyful participation. Brimming with Olympic-level zeal, the atmosphere resonated with energy, excitement and determination, as little champions showcased confidence, teamwork and a spirited love for sports in a truly inspiring display.

The event commenced with the Torch Lighting Ceremony, led by the school Principal, Ms Sudha Murugkar, symbolising the flame of sportsmanship, discipline, and unity. This ceremonial beginning infused the gathering with inspiration and marked the official start of the sports meet. As the torch was lit, a sense of pride and excitement spread among the young participants, motivating them to give their best.

Speaking about the event, the Principal expressed, “It’s a privilege to have these pre-schoolers and tiny tots, and I can see the excitement among them. We have organised some exclusive and playful sporting events to make the team and children accustomed to crowds and healthy competition. The main purpose of this event is enjoyment. So, best of luck to everyone present here.”

The highlight of the day was the 30-metre race, conducted in multiple rounds for different age groups. The races were organised into four rounds (I, II, III and IV), ensuring fair participation and equal opportunity for every child. With energetic background music playing, the little runners dashed forward with determination, cheered on enthusiastically by teachers and parents. Every finish line crossing was met with loud applause, reinforcing the idea that participation mattered more than winning.

Children from different Pre-primary schools took part in the event, including Curious Mind, Junior Pathshala, Kidzzee, and Second Home Playschool. Their presence added diversity and healthy competition to the event, fostering social interaction and mutual respect among the young learners. It was heart-warming to see children supporting one another, reflecting the true essence of sportsmanship.

Throughout the event, careful planning and coordination by the school staff ensured the smooth conduct of all activities. Teachers guided the children patiently, while volunteers ensured safety and discipline on the ground. The blend of lively music, enthusiastic participation and warm encouragement created an environment where every child felt confident and valued.

Next came a series of engaging races that formed the core of the event. The ‘Collect the Marker’ activity tested focus and agility, encouraging children to move swiftly while staying attentive. The Partner Race fostered collaboration and trust, as pairs worked in harmony to reach the finish line. One of the most thrilling segments was the Balance Ball Race, which challenged the children’s coordination and balance, drawing appreciative applause from the audience.

Adding to the excitement was the ‘Tunnel Race’, an event that brought forth peals of laughter and delight. As the children crawled through tunnels with infectious enthusiasm, the event perfectly captured the essence of learning through play. Each activity was conducted in multiple rounds, allowing equal opportunity for participation and reinforcing the belief that effort and involvement were far more important than victory.

True to the spirit of Pratispradha, emphasis was placed on participation over competition. Every child was celebrated for their courage and enthusiasm, highlighting that sportsmanship and confidence are the real triumphs at this tender age. The vibrant atmosphere echoed with encouragement, creating memories that would be cherished long after the event concluded.

The programme culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, recognising the commendable performances of the participants. In the 30-metre race, children from Kidzzee showcased remarkable speed and determination, earning well-deserved accolades. The ceremony not only honoured winners but also applauded the collective effort of all participants.

The overall trophy was awarded amidst great excitement, with Junior Pathshala emerging as the winners. Kidzzee secured the second position, while Curious Mind claimed the third. The moment symbolised the culmination of teamwork, perseverance, and cheerful competition displayed throughout the day.
