Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park’s youngest learners from Classes 1 and 2 came together to celebrate the festival of lights with a heartwarming Diwali Special Assembly that radiated joy, colour, and meaning. The day began with a soulful prayer, invoking divine blessings for happiness and prosperity, setting a serene tone for the festivities ahead.

The young performers then took the stage with a captivating Ramayana play, beautifully depicting Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya and the eternal triumph of good over evil. Their expressive dialogue delivery and graceful performances won the audience’s hearts. An informative presentation on Diwali safety measures followed, reminding everyone to celebrate the festival responsibly and thoughtfully.

Songs, dances, and vibrant performances further added to the festive cheer. The Pre-Primary Incharge addressed the gathering, urging students to celebrate an eco-friendly and safe Diwali. The message of spreading light through kindness and compassion resonated deeply with the audience.

The celebrations continued with the pre-primary students engaging in Diwali festivities. The highlight of the day was the delightful Show and Tell activity, where students dressed up as their favourite characters from the Ramayana—Rama, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman—and spoke confidently about them. Their costumes and performances reflected not only their enthusiasm but also their growing creativity and communication skills.

Adding to the festive spirit, children enjoyed a cheerful party lunch and participated in a rangoli-making activity using marigold, rose, and jasmine petals. Their colourful patterns transformed the school corridors into a visual treat, while the activity honed their artistic expression and fine motor skills.

The Diwali celebration was a perfect blend of tradition, learning, and fun. Through performances, creativity, and camaraderie, the students beautifully conveyed the festival’s true essence — the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. It was indeed a joyful and illuminating celebration that left everyone with smiles, warmth, and festive spirit.
