Participating in days like First Aid Day is essential for young school students as it introduces them to life-saving skills early on. Such events increase awareness of crucial health and safety practices and empower children to act responsibly in emergencies. Learning first-aid fosters confidence, safety, and preparedness, enabling students to help themselves and others in need. It equips them with practical knowledge they can carry throughout life, ensuring that even from a young age, they understand the importance of quick and effective action during accidents.
On September 12, 2024, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri enthusiastically organised First Aid Day for students of classes the nursery to class II. The celebration aimed to educate the youngest learners on the significance of first aid in their daily lives. A special play, enacted by the students, became the highlight of the event.

The play demonstrated the importance of quick responses in emergencies, showcasing scenarios such as minor injuries, burns, and cuts. These familiar situations, paired with simple yet effective first-aid solutions, kept the audience captivated, making the learning process fun and relatable.
To further enhance the students’ understanding, a display of basic first aid equipment, including bandages, antiseptics, and thermometers, was arranged. Teachers and staff conducted live demonstrations, showing students how to correctly use these items in case of minor incidents either at home or school. The students showed keen interest and actively participated in the demonstrations, engaging with the tools and techniques being presented.

Dr Vineet Vasishtha, the school Principal, praised the efforts of the students and teachers who organised the informative event. He emphasised the significance of first aid knowledge from an early age, explaining that even basic first aid can prevent injuries from escalating into more serious conditions. He also encouraged the students to apply what they had learned, both in their day-to-day lives and by sharing their new skills with their families.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and left the students with a deeper understanding of how to care for themselves and others in emergencies.
