In today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape, ensuring quality and consistency in school practices has become more crucial than ever. Taking a step forward in this direction, Apeejay School, Noida, had the privilege of hosting a three-day PRP Workshop on the School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAAF) under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The workshop, held from September 10 to 12, 2025, blended both online and offline learning formats — Day 1 being conducted virtually, followed by two days of face-to-face sessions on campus.

The event commenced on an inspiring note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a soulful prayer presented by the students of Class II. The Principal, Dr Neha Sharma, extended a warm welcome to the Special Guest, Mrs Poonam Sachdeva, Joint Secretary and Head, CBSE–COE Noida, whose presence added significance to the occasion.

The training sessions were helmed by eminent resource persons, Mrs Surjeet Khanna, Former Principal, DPS Greater Faridabad, and Dr Sharma. Together, they guided the participants through the intricacies of SQAAF, which is designed to serve as a robust mechanism for maintaining excellence in schools.

The workshop aimed at empowering school leaders to act as trainers, thereby fostering a multiplier effect in building educator capacity. Participants not only explored the philosophy, structure, and benchmarks of SQAAF but also engaged in reflective exercises to evaluate their own school practices. They gained clarity on documentation requirements and devised actionable strategies to ensure holistic growth in their institutions.

Day 1 offered participants an online orientation to the framework, setting the foundation for deeper engagement. Days 2 and 3 were marked by vibrant group discussions, hands-on activities, and collaborative presentations. A notable highlight was the group-wise presentation on SQAAF subdomains on the final day, which encouraged peer learning, self-reflection, and enriched perspectives.

Key domains of SQAAF, Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment, Infrastructure, Human Resources, Management and Governance, Leadership, and Beneficiary Satisfaction, were explored in depth, underscoring their role in driving continuous school improvement.

The workshop concluded with a collective reaffirmation of SQAAF’s vision: to empower schools with structured frameworks for achieving excellence. Participants left the sessions enriched, motivated, and confident to carry forward the mission of capacity building as resource persons in their respective schools.
