Apeejay School, Nerul, committed to holistic development and cultural engagement, hosted its eagerly anticipated annual carnival, Le Flâneur 2025. The grand event brought together students, parents, and faculty for a day infused with enthusiasm, artistic expression, and strong communal bonds.
An Enchanting Opening to a Day of Festivities
The carnival commenced with a harmonious orchestra performance, skillfully rendered by students, setting the stage for a day filled with exuberance. Dr. Rupali Jain, a distinguished alumna and respected Assistant Professor at MGMIHS and Consultant Neonatologist at MGM Hospital, graced the event as Guest of Honour. She was warmly welcomed through a traditional reception, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and an ethereal Invocation Dance, signifying enlightenment and cultural devotion.
In his inaugural speech, Principal Mr. P. Subhash shared, “Our school carnival is more than just a celebration- it’s a testament to the power of community. By bringing together students, parents, and teachers, we strengthen the bonds that unite us.” His words encapsulated the essence of the event, emphasising unity, learning, and the joy of shared experiences.


Showcasing Creativity and Innovation
The carnival showcased a variety of creative activities, where students and their parents collaborated in rangoli-making, pot-painting, anime sketching on fabric, and fireless cooking. These engaging sessions highlighted the ingenuity and artistic talents of participants, making each activity a visual and interactive delight.
Engaging Games and Enthralling Performances
The Guest of Honour then explored the lively game stalls, where students and teachers had put in immense effort to craft entertaining and interactive experiences. The highlight of the carnival, “Dance Mania,” an Intra-School Group Dance Competition, featured an exquisite fusion of classical, folk, and contemporary dance styles. The distinguished panel of judges included Mr. Rahul Tayade (Program Manager at Reliance and a former member of Shiamak Davar Dance Troupe), Ms. Bhaavya A Venkateswaran (renowned dancer, actor, and yoga instructor), and Mr. Akash Kamble (acclaimed choreographer specializing in Bollywood and classical dance forms).


A Spirited Afternoon of Entertainment
Post-lunch festivities continued with the “Just a Minute” (JAM) show, where participants took part in amusing challenges such as okra picking, saree draping, and the balloon walk, filling the air with laughter and excitement.
The musical tempo escalated with the Inter-School Rock Band Competition, where schools competed fiercely to showcase their best talent. The competition was judged by Mr. Gour Krishna, a passionate kirtan musician, and Mr. Anit Ghosh, a seasoned music teacher with over two decades of expertise. Apeejay School, Nerul, emerged victorious, with outstanding performances by young musicians. Individual awards were conferred upon Aadit Mehta (Best Drummer – Apeejay School, Nerul), Pranav Subramaniam (Best Flutist – DAV Public School, Airoli), Garima Shejal (Best Sitar Player – DAV Public School, Airoli), and Faizan Khan (Best Guitarist – Lokmanya Tilak Public School, Koparkhairane).


Heartwarming Parent-Child Moments
The segment “Thrills ‘n’ Chills” allowed parents and siblings to perform together, crafting heartwarming memories through music and dance. This event strengthened familial bonds and underscored the importance of artistic collaboration.
A Majestic Conclusion with Cultural Excellence
As dusk approached, the arrival of Chief Guest Mr. Shubham Dhananjay Vanmali, recipient of the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award, and Guest of Honour Mr. Shoeb Shaikh, a notable alumnus and Founder of Log Homes India Pvt. Ltd., added prestige to the celebrations.
The evening unfolded with mesmerizing performances, including a Classical Dance recital on “Shakti”, choreographed by Ms. Neha Mhatre, and an electrifying Hip-Hop dance number. The event reached its pinnacle with a riveting Dance Drama on the “Navras” of the Mahabharata, masterfully directed by Ms. Shreya Basak, seamlessly weaving storytelling with expressive dance.















An Unforgettable Celebration
Le Flâneur 2025 concluded with the announcement of competition winners and a thrilling Lucky Draw, filling the venue with cheers and celebration. The event not only served as a platform for students to exhibit their skills and creativity but also strengthened the vibrant community spirit that defines Apeejay School, Nerul.
With cherished memories etched in the hearts of attendees, Le Flâneur 2025 proved to be much more than just a carnival—it was a magnificent celebration of art, culture, and togetherness, leaving an indelible mark on all who participated.
