Read edited excerpts:
When did you first discover your love for dance and music?
From my childhood, I always loved dancing, singing, and playing. I started learning western dance at the age of four, and by the time I was 4.5 years old, I was enrolled in Kathak. Later, around the age of 10, I developed an interest in badminton after being inspired by players like PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen.
Do you remember your first stage performance?
Yes, I can never forget that moment! I was around five years old when I first performed at an annual event. I was anxious at first, but once I went on stage, I forgot everything. Performing gives me immense joy, and that feeling hasn’t changed till today.
Between Kathak and hip-hop, what do you enjoy the most?
Both! Kathak gives me a sense of grace and discipline through its postures and footwork, while hip-hop brings energy, freedom, and smooth transitions. Together, they keep me balanced—one connects me to tradition, and the other helps me express myself freely.

How has Apeejay School, Kharghar supported your journey?
Apeejay has given me multiple platforms to perform—be it the Rotary Club inter-school competitions, annual days, carnival events, or intra-school contests. Each opportunity has helped me showcase my talent and build confidence.
What are some of your proudest achievements so far?
I’ve received the Tiasha Award and Dr. Stya Paul Award, which mean a lot to me. Apart from that, I’ve won prizes in singing, storytelling, and elocution competitions. But I see every achievement as a stepping stone to grow and improve.
How do you manage academics and so many activities?
I plan my day according to my classes and practice schedules. Time management helps me stay stress-free. I always make sure to enjoy each activity without feeling pressured.
What’s your biggest learning so far?
Every performance and competition has taught me something new. I always pat myself for doing well, note areas to improve, and then move forward with enthusiasm.
