How has Kabir adapted to the school environment over the years?
Kabir’s journey began with the usual transition phase in nursery, but over time, he has become completely comfortable. Regular classroom engagement, collaborative activities, and supportive teachers have played a key role in helping him adjust. Today, he looks forward to going to school and feels a strong sense of belonging.
What does Kabir share about his school experiences at home?
Kabir is naturally inclined towards academics and enjoys studying. He often talks about his teachers and enthusiastically shares stories about classroom activities. He especially enjoys opportunities where he can speak on stage or participate in microphone-based activities. From sports sessions like skating to school trips and camps, he eagerly recounts his daily experiences, reflecting his active engagement.
Can you share a recent school event you attended and your experience?
The most recent event was the Annual Day, where Kabir participated in a group dance performance. The preparation lasted for about a month, showcasing the school’s emphasis on discipline and teamwork. While the performance was collective, it helped children learn collaboration and coordination. As a parent, it was a proud and joyful moment to witness.
Which aspects of the curriculum do you find most beneficial?
One of the standout features is the strong focus on writing skills, which is often overlooked today. Alongside this, the school emphasises conceptual clarity rather than rote learning. Concepts like multiplication are taught from the basics, ensuring children understand the ‘why’ behind what they learn. This logical and foundational approach is highly valuable.
How does the school support Kabir’s curiosity and creativity?
The school provides ample opportunities for self-expression, especially in public speaking, which Kabir enjoys. Additionally, exposure to diverse activities such as dance, music, and sports allows him to explore his interests. The infrastructure and encouragement ensure that children can discover and nurture their individual talents.
