The registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 is expected to begin today, October 26, 2025, according to recent media reports. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), has not yet released an official confirmation regarding the exact registration time. However, candidates aspiring for admission to top engineering institutes across India are advised to regularly check the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in — for the release of the application link and detailed information bulletin.

As per the tentative schedule announced by NTA, the Session 1 exams are likely to be conducted between January 21 and 30, 2026, while Session 2 is expected from April 1 to 10, 2026. The final exam dates, along with the detailed paper schedule and timings, will be published once the official notification is released.

The application window for Session 1 is expected to remain open for nearly a month. Candidates must ensure their Aadhaar details are up to date, as they are mandatory for registration. The step-by-step registration process involves visiting the official website, selecting the “New Registration” option, filling in personal and academic details, uploading the required documents (such as photographs and signatures), and paying the application fee online.

Applicants are advised to complete their registration early to avoid last-minute technical issues. It is also important to regularly monitor official announcements for any updates or changes. The JEE Main serves as a crucial gateway for entry into prestigious institutions such as NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutes, making timely registration and preparation essential for aspiring engineers.
