Jalandhar-based institute welcomes freshers with thrilling ‘Aarambh 2024’ events

The Sports Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar recently celebrated the beginning of the new academic session with an energetic series of recreational activities under the banner of Aarambh 2024. These events, tailored for first-year students, were designed to promote camaraderie and help new students ease into college life while showcasing their talents and fostering new friendships.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, expressed his enthusiasm for the successful execution of the event. “These activities are more than just fun and games; they are integral to building teamwork, encouraging new friendships, and facilitating a smooth transition into college life. At Apeejay, we prioritise holistic development, and these recreational activities significantly enrich the academic journey of our students,” he remarked.

The day began with a Chess Competition, where students demonstrated their strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. The competitive spirit continued with Table Tennis matches, highlighting the agility, precision, and reflexes of the participants.

Adding a light-hearted touch, the Paper Dance tested students’ balance and coordination, while the Pushup Challenge showcased their physical strength and endurance. The fun continued with Tongue Twisters, which brought laughter and smiles, and the classic Musical Chair game, which kept participants and spectators on their toes.

In a fast-paced Lemon Race, students displayed remarkable speed and focus, while Strength Testing Exercises provided a platform for participants to exhibit their physical capabilities. The atmosphere was lively, with students cheering each other on, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment.

The event was deemed a great success, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead. Students left with new memories, friendships, and a sense of belonging, all of which will support them throughout their time at the institute.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga also took the opportunity to congratulate the members of the Sports Club for their meticulous planning and flawless execution of the event. Special recognition was given to Mr. Amanpratap Singh Pall (Convenor), Dr. Ajwinder Dhillon (Co-Convenor), Mr. Rahul Handa, Ms. Kavita Verma, and Ms. Arushi Sidana for their efforts in making the event a memorable one.
