Jalandhar-based institute prepares students for digital-era careers with lecture on emerging IT skills

The Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) recently Jalandhar, recently organised an enlightening expert lecture on the topic “The Future of Work in IT – Emerging Skills for a Tech-Driven World” by distinguished speaker Mr. Laksh Luther. The session proved to be both insightful and inspiring, providing students with a clear vision of the changing dynamics in the world of information technology and the critical skills required to succeed in the years ahead.

Mr. Luther began his talk by highlighting the rapid transformation of the IT industry, driven largely by disruptive innovations such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and cloud computing. He emphasised that as businesses increasingly rely on digital-first solutions, the demand for professionals with expertise in these areas will continue to rise.

Focusing on the future skills needed for IT careers, he explained the importance of building proficiency in data science, cybersecurity, edge computing, and advanced analytics. These domains, according to him, will define the next phase of technological advancement, enabling organizations to process data more efficiently, safeguard critical assets, and harness intelligent automation for greater efficiency.

What made the session particularly engaging was Mr. Luther’s ability to simplify complex concepts and relate them to real-world applications. He shared practical insights on how students can prepare themselves through continuous learning, hands-on training, and adaptability to change, which are essential for thriving in the ever-evolving IT job market.

The lecture concluded with an interactive question-answer session, where students posed thought-provoking queries about career prospects, upskilling opportunities, and industry trends. Mr. Luther responded with valuable advice, motivating students to embrace lifelong learning and cultivate an innovation-driven mindset.
