Jalandhar-based college marks the culmination of three-week ‘Skill Enhancement’ classes

A grand culmination marked the conclusion of the Skill Enhancement Classes at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar during which students showcased their newfound talents and skills. Under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, the college had embarked on a journey to empower students of class 12 with diverse skill sets, echoing the ethos of progress and cultural heritage instilled by the college’s esteemed founders.

Addressing the gathered students, Dr. Neerja Dhingra emphasised, “ACFA always works and moves forward on the path of progress by preserving its cultural heritage while taking inspiration from the vision of its Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul Ji and the leadership and farsightedness of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University and Chairman, Apeejay Education.”

She further congratulated the students for using their time productively and joining these classes and learning a skill that will surely help them in future.

The valedictory ceremony was a vibrant tapestry of talent and creativity, with students from design and fine arts classes showcasing an impressive array of handcrafted products, including portraits, cushion covers, tie-dye creations, block-printed textiles, and intricately designed home decor items. Dr. Neerja Dhingra and the faculty members lauded the students’ efforts, recognising their artistic flair and craftsmanship.

The event also witnessed captivating performances by students enrolled in Kathak and contemporary dance classes. Mannat, Nishita, and Anupama mesmerised the audience with their soulful rendition of Ganesh Stuti and showcased technical intricacies of Kathak with finesse. Meanwhile, students of the Recognise Singer in You program, including Diya, Shruti Sharma, Shrestha Suri, and Sukhraj, captivated the audience with their melodious voices, leaving a lasting impression.

The fusion of dance forms enthralled spectators, showcasing the students’ versatility and creativity. Testimonials from students like Amber, Vineet Roop, Gurleen, Anahad, and Privya echoed the sentiment of gratitude towards the college and its faculty, highlighting the enriching experience and positive environment that fostered personal growth and confidence.

Ms. Rajni Kumar from the Department of Design underscored the college’s achievements in cultural activities and sports, affirming its commitment to excellence across various domains. Special recognition was extended to students Pahul, Sharmistha, and Dakshita for their exceptional contribution to stage anchoring, ensuring the seamless execution of the program.

In a gesture of appreciation, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra presented certificates to the students, acknowledging their dedication and commitment to excellence. She also expressed gratitude to Dr. Seema Sharma and Ms. Rajni Gupta for their invaluable contributions to the success of the program, underscoring the collaborative spirit that defines the ACFA community.
