Anu Priya hails from the state of mines Jharkhand. She is a creative soul who loves looking at beautiful things and moreover creating things that compel others to stop and take a look at it. “I have always aspired to be somewhere where I could create something new with different challenges to face everyday and now at Promodome Communication Pvt Ltd I am doing the same as a junior graphic designer. An alumna of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), Anu explains that this new job is giving her the opportunity to learn skills and showcase creativity in her own way.
Choosing the pathway
Emphasising how AIMC guided her and made a choice with clarity, Anu explains, “Initially, I was not sure if my decision about the creative department in the advertising industry was right or not. But at AIMC while learning about different subjects and knowing the experience from different faculties, I become confident about my choice,” she said.

When asked how she bagged the job offer with Promodome Communication Pvt. Ltd., she emphasised, “I kept on learning different tools and apps. Alongside, I kept myself aware about the current trends in the industry through newspapers and websites. I never missed the mentoring sessions provided by the teachers at the institute.”
She further highlighted, “To crack placements I kept on researching about the company I was appearing for and kept myself motivated by continuous practice on usual questions that could be asked in the interview. I attended mock interview sessions.” Anu also said, “The best part of my interview preparation was with my professor whose continuous motivation and the constructive feedback in the mock interviews helped me a lot in working on weaknesses and strengths before the final interview.”
Learnings on the go
For Anu, AIMC was definitely the best decision for her career. “The professors and guest faculties nurtured the confidence regarding my choice. I was a student who was under confident about my career. At AIMC, I found a better version of myself. Apeejay taught me the value of teamwork, time management, communication skills, and many more skills, which made me worthy of the ad industry,” she mentioned. She also added, “All these skills are the reason which helped me to crack my interview..
Future aspirations
In the next 5 years, Anu aspires to see herself leading a team of few people while working on global brands and enhancing my creativity and technical skills.
