The Interact Club of Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, Sector 21-D, hosted a self-defence session that invited young learners to think about their safety with clarity and confidence. The atmosphere in the room carried a quiet focus as students prepared to understand what mindful awareness truly looks like. When children recognise their own strength, their sense of agency grows in meaningful ways.
The session aimed to help girls observe their surroundings, trust their instincts, and respond with presence of mind. Every explanation was centred on simple actions that students can remember and use without hesitation. The intention was not just to teach a set of moves, but to encourage a calm and alert approach to personal safety.
Expert guidance
Mr Sunil Rajput, a parent volunteer and trained self-defence enthusiast, led the workshop with steady guidance. He broke each technique into small steps, allowing students to study how balance, posture, and attention work together. What this really means is that effective self-defence begins with awareness, not force.
The girls participated with sincere interest. Many repeated the techniques to understand how their body aligns with quick, thoughtful action. Their willingness to try, pause, and try again showed how engaged they were. They walked out with a clearer idea of how alertness and composure can support their safety in daily life.

Key learning
One of the most important learnings from the session was that confidence grows through understanding. When students know how to stay attentive and think steadily, they already safeguard themselves long before any challenge arises.
Apeejay Svran Global School continues to invest in programmes that nurture resilience and balanced judgement in its students. This session reflected the school’s belief that empowered learners are better prepared to move through the world with assurance, awareness, and strength.
