India’s great achievement: Chandrayaan-3 lands on Moon’s South Pole

On August 23, at exactly 6:04 pm, Chandrayaan-3 gently landed on the south pole of the Moon. This makes India the fourth country to land on the Moon, and we’re the very first to do it on the south pole!

Chandrayaan-3 is made up of two parts: the Vikram lander and the Pragyan rover. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) revealed that following the settling of the cluster particles, a ramp gradually unfolded from the Vikram lander, paving the way for the Pragyan rover’s emergence.

Watching the landing was super exciting for me and my family. We waited eagerly for it to happen. We were all praying and feeling really nervous as the speed of the landing was getting slower. Our hearts were beating really fast. And when Chandrayaan-3 finally landed, I couldn’t hold back my excitement. I cheered and shouted with joy! I’m so proud to be an Indian.

I want to say thank you to everyone who made this possible. Thank you to the scientists at ISRO who worked hard for this success. Thank you to everyone who supported this mission. This achievement shows how determined we are and how we can do great things when we work together.

Looking back at this achievement, it’s not just about landing on the moon. It’s also a sign of how India is taking big steps in space exploration. This success reminds us that every step we take toward understanding the universe is important.

To end, as an Indian, my heart is filled with happiness and pride. This achievement is something we can all celebrate and feel proud of. It’s a big step for India and a reminder that we can reach for the stars – and even beyond!
