Ajit Pal Singh is a Computer Science teacher at a Government School in Jalandhar, Punjab. His children Gurvir and Gurshaan Singh Mann are studying in Classes 7 and 4 at Apeejay School, Tanda Road. In a brief interview, the father shares the progress of his children and highlights their joy of learning at the school. Edited excerpts:
Why did you choose Apeejay School, Tanda Road over other schools for the admission of children?
I knew the headmistress Priyanka mam very well. She is a very nice person. So that was a reason. Also, I must tell you that my children have been studying in this school since Nursery grade. They love the environment here and are very happy in this school.
Please tell us a bit about Gurvir and Gurshaan and take us through their progress at school?
Both of them are all-rounders. They participate in all the school activities as well as win the most number of prizes. Dance is the only activity in which they hesitate to take part in.
Are the teachers engaging well with the teachers?
All the teachers are teaching very well and my children praise all their teachers. They are learning with each passing day.
Have the children adjusted well from the shift of the online mode of learning?

Yes, both have adjusted very well. They were very eager to rejoin the school after the pandemic hiatus. They were very curious during the lockdown as to when the school would start and they could meet their friends. They hardly missed a class before the pandemic. They love going to the school and meeting the teachers and their friends. Both my children performed very well in the online classes as well.
