Tell us about your internship.
I recently completed my internship at AGProp, a real-estate startup. The opportunity was provided by ASM. The internship was a great learning experience as I got to work on an important QSR project and learn many new things.
Why did you pick ASM?
My elder brother is an alumnus of the institute. He had a wonderful experience at ASM, from gaining industrial knowledge to cracking placements, and suggested I join the institute too. Hailing from a small village in Bihar, I was looking for a good higher education institute to acquire the skills and knowledge for a successful professional career. I was very impressed with the infrastructure and the curriculum offered by ASM and that’s what prompted me to enroll.

What kind of support and guidance did you get from the ASM faculty?
My professors have encouraged and supported me throughout my journey. For instance, with no background in finance, I struggled with the subject in the initial days of my PGDM course. But I was fortunate to get one-on-one attention from my professor, who simplified all concepts and helped me understand them better.
Not just academics, my professors also helped me immensely to improve my communication skills and boost my morale. It is because of them that I am now able to interact with others with confidence. I remember how terrified I was to go up on stage when I first came to ASM. But one of my professors motivated and pushed me to participate in the freshers’ party and walk the ramp. Since then, I have been actively involved in various extracurricular activities. My fear of the stage has also reduced significantly.
How is the institute preparing you for placements?
We have already had many mock group discussions and personal interviews, where our mentors taught us how to approach questions and present ourselves. The professors shared specific tips for telephonic and in-person interviews. They also guided me in creating an impressive resume. I am grateful to Apeejay for helping me evolve into a better version of myself.
