For the same, Apeejay School, Noida, recently organised a Fashion Show– ‘Glitz and Gala’. The event was a lively celebration highlighting cultural diversity, creativity, and teamwork. Students of class II showcased their talent and passion by delving into fashion traditions from Japan, the UK, and regions across India.

The event commenced with an enlightening introduction to the cultural legacies of the showcased countries and regions. Students immersed themselves in the intricate details of traditional attire, accessories, and symbolic elements integral to each culture. Encouraged to embrace the distinctiveness of these cultural nuances, students explored their creativity through the captivating medium of fashion.

During the initial segment of the show, students captivated the audience with a display of traditional Japanese attire, featuring stunning kimonos and yukatas. Their graceful movements and attention to intricate patterns beautifully reflected the essence of Japanese culture. The audience was dazzled by the elegant presentation showcasing the timeless beauty of Japanese fashion.

Continuing the showcase, students embraced iconic British fashion inspirations, spotlighting styles like Tweed jackets, Tartan skirts, and Bowler hats. Their presentation exuded sophistication and charm, encapsulating the timeless essence of British culture with flair and elegance.

The event’s pinnacle was the vibrant display of Indian culture, spotlighting the unique styles of the North East and South West regions. Students adorned colourful sarees, vibrant kurtas, and traditional jewelry, showcasing the rich diversity of Indian heritage.

Throughout the fashion show, students demonstrated confidence, poise, and teamwork as they confidently walked the runway and posed for the audience. They embraced the opportunity to explore diverse cultures and express their creativity through the art of fashion.

Ms Smriti Samuel, Primary In-charge of the school applauded the young models and fashion enthusiasts, highlighting the significance of such activities in boosting students’ confidence. She commended the other teachers for their efforts in nurturing a passion for cultural diversity among the students.
