The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has officially released the syllabus for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026 on its official website. Aspirants preparing for one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance examinations can now access the detailed, topic-wise syllabus by visiting jeeadv.ac.in.

In a welcome move for students, the syllabus for JEE Advanced 2026 remains unchanged from that of JEE Advanced 2025. This continuity offers significant relief to candidates who have already structured their preparation according to the existing curriculum, allowing them to focus on strengthening concepts rather than adapting to new topics.

Syllabus overview

The JEE Advanced 2026 syllabus is based on core NCERT concepts from Classes 11 and 12 and covers three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

In Physics, the syllabus includes key areas such as General units and measurements, Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, and Modern Physics.

Chemistry is divided into three sections. Physical Chemistry covers topics like Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium, Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Solid State, and Surface Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry includes the Periodic Table, s-, p-, d-, and f-Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Metallurgy, and Qualitative Analysis. Organic Chemistry focuses on basic principles, hydrocarbons, functional groups such as alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, and amines, along with Biomolecules, Polymers, and Chemistry in Everyday Life.

The Mathematics syllabus features Sets, Relations and Functions, Algebra (including complex numbers, quadratic equations, matrices, and progressions), Probability and Statistics, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry in two and three dimensions, Calculus, and Vectors.
