Pulkit Aggarwal is an architect by profession. The alumnus of Apeejay Charkhi Dadri is the founder of an architecture firm,Even Sights Architects, located in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. In an informal interview, Aggarwal advises students to participate in all the activities and opportunities provided by the school in order to discover their calling in life. Edited excerpts:

Please tell us about your current work profile?
We design commercial buildings, high end residences as well as deal in interior designing. As we are a consultancy firm, we deal in the entire construction process of a project. From getting the vacant plot, to designing the interiors, to supervising the construction process, conceptualising and designing the structure, getting the plumbing and electrical services done. We deal in all of these.
What are some of your best memories from your school days?
I loved the school campus. When compared to the other schools, we had better infrastructure and a huge playground. I loved everything about the school – from the teaching style to the extracurricular activities. I am absolutely satisfied with my school life. Moreover, I loved playing chess and in fact, I was also part of the school football team.
What advice would you like to give to a current student at Apeejay Charkhi Dadri?
The school is very nice. You can send your child here, for his/her overall development. I suggest a child must experience everything in school – from the curricular activities to sports. S/he must also participate in all the opportunities provided by the school. It proves to be the best way for overall development of the student.
What was the inspiration to become an architect?
After my class 12, I was exploring various career prospects. That time everyone was pursuing engineering or medicine and I didn’t want to follow the crowd. I wanted to pursue my career in a creative field. I discussed this with my teachers as well. So, I found architecture to be a good option.
What are your future plans?
Currently, I own an architecture firm. I am aiming to expand our business to other regions as well. I am already working on some of the projects in Delhi and Rohtak.
