He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Management, specialising in Finance and Marketing and went on to secure a campus placement at TATA Capital Finance as a Sales Manager. In a quick chat after his work hours, Nitesh Chauhan, an alumnus of Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka (ASM) talks about his exciting work life and plans to set up his business someday.

What responsibilities are you entrusted with?

A lot of good engagement. I handle the DSA verticals as my major responsibility. I manage the files that come from the call centres. These files have to be processed. I then also handle their dispersal, logins, and everything else. So, it is a lot of work.

What inspired you to join this industry?
I come from a business family; my father has a business. I had an interest in Commerce from the very beginning, and I was keen to join the banking sector. Finance has always been my go-to field, and I love everything related to it. This field called me and I just answered my inner calling.

Describe your time spent at ASM.
I had a great time at this institute. My course was very enriching and prepared us well for industry life. In addition, I handled the International Business Club. I was the president, and with my team, I organised many events. I also organised the Sports Fest and was the main coordinator. I participated in Volleyball at this fest!

Did ASM train you for the placement drive?
Yes, they held many webinars and workshops. Our professors trained us effectively to present ourselves in the financial world. I was campus-placed at TATA Capital Finance from ASM. So, one can imagine how thoroughly I was trained!

What’s the plan for the next five years?
I see myself growing in the finance sector, getting promotions, and gaining experience. I also have a side plan – to set up my business one day! Keeping my fingers crossed.
