Diksha Mehra, a standout student from Apeejay School, Saket, has proven herself as a dedicated and ambitious individual. Currently in Class 12, she achieved an impressive 84.4% in Class 11, setting the stage for her bright future in the medical field. As she navigates the academic pressures of her final year, Diksha remains focused on her goals, determined to excel both in school and in her future endeavors.
Choosing the right stream
Diksha’s decision to pursue the PCB Medical stream was driven by her deep interest in biology and the human body. “I’ve always been fascinated by how our body works,” she shares. Her passion for science, combined with the belief that the medical field offers numerous opportunities, made this stream the perfect choice. Biology, in particular, stands out for her, as she finds it both fascinating and directly aligned with her long-term aspirations. Chemistry, with its logical structure, also captivates her, offering the satisfaction of solving complex problems once the concepts are understood.
Adjusting to class 12 pressure
Class 12 is notorious for its academic intensity, but Diksha has found a way to manage the pressure. “It’s definitely overwhelming at times,” she admits, “but I make it a point to stay consistent with my studies and manage my time effectively.” Her commitment to staying organised and prioritising her academics has helped her navigate this challenging year with focus and determination.
With her eyes set on a future in medicine, Diksha is diligently preparing for competitive exams. Her strategy revolves around building a solid foundation by revising NCERT thoroughly and practicing MCQs regularly. By staying consistent in her preparation, she aims to be well-prepared for the medical entrance exams ahead, one step at a time.
The power of consistency
Looking back on her journey, Diksha identifies consistency as the most important lesson she’s learned. “Consistency matters the most,” she emphasises. Whether in her academic routine or personal life, staying consistent in her efforts has been the key to her success. Diksha’s story is a reflection of the power of focus, discipline, and a clear vision for the future, and she’s well on her way to achieving her dreams.
