Aryaman Shrivastava, class 6 student at Apeejay School, Pitampura is a superb cricketer. He was selected for the Delhi Little Cricket League (DLCL) this year and his team won the T20 tournament as well. In an exclusive interview, the 11-year-old all rounder expresses his fascination for Yuvraj Singh, his experience of playing in the cricket and also shares about his future targets. Edited excerpts:
Are you a bowler or a batsman?
I play as an all rounder. My main game is bowling. I am a medium pacer.
Since when have you been playing cricket?
I have been playing cricket for many years now, but I started to take cricket coaching in the last 3 years.
What do you love the most about playing cricket?
I love everything about cricket. I enjoy playing it immensely. I like clean bowling to a batsman the most. That’s a great feeling.
Who is your favorite cricketer?
Yuvraj Singh is my favorite. I love the aggression in his batting style.
Tell us about your experience of playing in the DLCL tournament?

I registered last year for the tournament. I registered only for the T20 tournament but I also got a chance to play in the One Day match and in the U-14 matches as well. I had a great experience playing in the U-12 T20 tournament. I played five matches in total and managed to take a wicket as well.
Tell us about your training schedule before the tournament?
I play cricket approximately for three hours a day. Apart from this, I have a one hour coaching practice twice a week.
What are your future targets in cricket?
I want to be a good bowler and batsman. I aspire to play for the Indian team one day. I will be playing the DLCL test cricket tournament from 15 July, and I am preparing for that at the moment.
