HR Brainwave 2025: A dynamic quiz to celebrate human resource knowledge

The Human Resource Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, hosted a dynamic and intellectually stimulating quiz competition titled “HR Brainwave.” Themed around the slogan “Think HR, Think Smart!”, the event was designed to challenge participants’ knowledge of Human Resource practices, terms, analytics, and trends.

The quiz, conducted with great enthusiasm and energy, comprised five engaging rounds that tested a wide range of HR-related skills and concepts:

  • HR Fundamentals – to assess understanding of core HR concepts.
  • Guess the HR Terminology – focused on deciphering and identifying key industry terms.
  • HR Analytics and Metrics – highlighted the growing importance of data in HR decision-making.
  • HR Word Jumbles – a fun yet challenging word game on HR vocabulary.
  • Guess the Logo – tested brand and organizational awareness in the HR domain.

A total of six teams participated, each representing a different blend of business acumen and strategic thinking. The competition was fierce yet friendly, as students tackled each round with focus and creativity. The quiz not only encouraged students to apply their classroom knowledge but also emphasized the importance of critical thinking and teamwork.

At the end of the tightly contested rounds, the winning teams were:

  • First Position: Angel Sharma and Tushar Guleria of MBA Semester 2
  • Second Position: Vanshika and Divyanshu Sonkhla of BBA Semester 6
  • Third Position: Muskanpal and Anchal Sharma of MBA Semester 4

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, praised the efforts of the Human Resource Club in conceptualising and executing an event that so effectively blended learning with fun. “Initiatives like HR Brainwave reflect the creativity and passion our students have for the subject. It’s heartening to see the spirit of participation and intellectual engagement,” he remarked. He also applauded the club’s commitment to encouraging a culture of learning and innovation in the field of Human Resources.

The event was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. R.R Rajan Chaudhary, Dean of the School of Management, and Dr. Anuradha, Faculty Coordinator. Their guidance played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and impactful execution of the competition.

The success of the event was also driven by the dedication of student coordinators Dollcy Sharma (President, MBA 4) and Nishika Mongla (Vice-President, BBA 6) of the Human Resource Club. Their organisational skills, enthusiasm, and attention to detail ensured the quiz was both engaging and enriching.

Overall, HR Brainwave 2025 was more than just a quiz—it was a celebration of knowledge, collaboration, and the evolving landscape of Human Resource Management. The event has set a high benchmark and left participants inspired for future learning opportunities.
