Tanushree, a highly gifted artist from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, continues to wow everyone with her stunning paintings. Recently selected again as the Apeejay Aspiring Artist, her beautiful peacock artwork captivated all with its rich colors and intricate details. In this insightful interview, Tanushree opens up about her art, how she balances this creative passion with academics, and the innovative techniques she’s experimenting with.

Tanushree, we loved your recent artwork on the peacock. What inspired you?
Well, the inspiration behind my latest peacock painting was simply the beauty of life, and of course, the vibrant feathers of the national bird. The colors symbolize happiness and joy, and I wanted to capture that essence in my painting. That’s how this piece came to life.

How much time did it take to create this peacock painting?
It took me around 7 to 8 hours in total. There was a lot of detail, and it required a good amount of patience, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Your artwork shows great maturity. How many hours do you practice art each day?
I practice art for about an hour daily. I always try to explore different art forms because there’s so much to learn, and I enjoy challenging myself with new techniques.

Does your school provide consistent support for your art?
Absolutely. My school plays an integral role in nurturing my talent. The teachers are incredibly encouraging, guiding me at every step. I’m also grateful for the Apeejay Newsroom website, which gives me the opportunity to showcase my work to a larger audience.

Tell us about your latest artistic experiment!
My latest experiment involves creating flowers on canvas using a combination of thread and acrylic paints. This is the first time I’ve worked with both materials together, and it’s been an exciting and rewarding experience.

Do you follow any art pages on social media for inspiration?
Yes, I get a lot of inspiration from the internet and various art pages on social media. Learning from other artists’ experiences has helped me grow and improve my techniques.

How do you balance your art with studies?
I dedicate my free time to painting rather than spending hours on the phone. After finishing my studies, I enjoy experimenting with new art forms. It’s a great way for me to unwind and be creative.

Any upcoming artworks you’d like to share with us?
Yes! My next piece is an abstract painting of Radha-Krishna ji, which I’m really excited about. It’s going to be something very special.
