Honouring the guiding lights of knowledge 

“A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.” 

On September 5, 2025, the campus of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, sparkled with energy, gratitude, and cheer as students came together to honour their mentors on Teachers’ Day. The atmosphere was electric — laughter, music, and heartfelt tributes echoed through the halls as young learners expressed their appreciation for those who guide and inspire them every day.

The celebration was thoughtfully organised by the Class XII students, who took charge of the day’s events with great enthusiasm. The morning began with a special assembly featuring prayers, a thought for the day, and a moving speech highlighting the significance of Teachers’ Day. The programme paid homage to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is observed as this day of tribute to educators across the nation.

What followed was a colourful cultural extravaganza. Students recited heartfelt poems that beautifully captured the essence of a teacher’s role in shaping lives. Melodious songs filled the air, while energetic dance performances brought vibrancy to the stage, leaving the audience thoroughly captivated. Each performance reflected the students’ gratitude, turning the occasion into an unforgettable experience for the teaching fraternity.

Adding a playful twist, a series of fun-filled games was organised exclusively for the teachers. These lighthearted competitions sparked joy, laughter, and camaraderie, allowing teachers to step away from their daily responsibilities and revel in moments of pure fun alongside their students.

The highlight of the celebration was the inspiring address by the Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha. He congratulated both students and teachers for the successful event and reminded everyone of the school’s core values — excellence, integrity, and respect. Emphasising the importance of lifelong learning, he urged students to carry forward the lessons of discipline, dedication, and gratitude.

“I am immensely proud of our students, especially Class XII, for organising such a meaningful and vibrant Teachers’ Day celebration. Your efforts, creativity, and respect for your teachers truly reflect the spirit of Apeejay. Teachers are the guiding force behind every child’s success, and today’s celebration beautifully honored that role. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by sweet distribution and group photographs that captured the joy of the day. The Teachers’ Day celebration at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri was not just an event but a heartfelt tribute — an occasion that deepened bonds, created memories, and reaffirmed the invaluable role of teachers in nurturing young minds.
