Honouring the enduring legacy of an educator & philanthropist

Apeejay School, Model Town, paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, Dr Stya Paul, on the occasion of the 15th punyatithi through a solemn and spiritual prayer assembly held in the school premises. The event was marked by devotion, remembrance, and a collective reaffirmation of the noble ideals espoused by Dr Stya Paul throughout his life.

Dr Stya Paul was a visionary educationist, philanthropist, and industrialist who laid the foundation of Apeejay Education to provide quality education rooted in Indian values and a global outlook. A firm believer in holistic development, he dedicated his life to the cause of nation-building through education. His enduring legacy continues to inspire thousands of students, educators, and professionals across the country.

The commemorative assembly began with the offering of floral tributes by the Principal of the school, Dr Rajesh Kumar Chandel, along with staff and students as a mark of deep respect and remembrance for the noble soul. A spiritual ambience was created through a series of soulful bhajans presented by students and teachers. Devotional hymns like Jagat Ka Tu Rakha Mere Sai and Tu Ram Hai Tu Rahim Hai echoed through the assembly, invoking peace and reverence.   

The highlight of the event was the address by Dr Chandel, who shared moving anecdotes from the life of Dr Stya Paul. He emphasised the late Founder-Chairman’s unwavering determination, deep-rooted integrity, and selfless service to humanity. Dr Chandel urged students to emulate these values and draw strength from his inspirational journey. He also read a heartfelt message sent by the Head Office, underscoring the continued commitment of the Apeejay fraternity to uphold the ideals of their founder. 

As the prayer assembly concluded, all present observed a moment of silence in remembrance of the divine soul whose vision lives on through every facet of the institution. The ceremony stood as a powerful reminder of the enduring presence of great souls in the hearts and minds of those they have touched. As the saying goes, “Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day,” and so does the legacy of Dr Stya Paul in the lives of the Apeejay family.
