The first thing that attracted Ms Nilam Shivaraj Tadakhe and her husband to Apeejay School, Kharghar, was its strong academic reputation. “We had heard great things about the school from friends and family. My husband’s friend, whose child also studies at Apeejay School, spoke highly of its academics. We also did our research online and spoke to more parents, including one of my friends whose child is in the Nerul branch. Everyone had consistently positive feedback, which gave us the confidence to choose Apeejay for our children’s future, the mother said.

In a candid interview, the mother of Shriniyaa Shivaraj (senior KG) and Shrinitva Shivaraj (Class V) talks about her children’s progress since joining this school.

How has your elder son progressed since joining the school?

He joined the Kharghar branch in Class IV. In over a year, I’ve seen a remarkable change in him. Earlier, when he was in another school, I had to monitor and help him with every subject at home. But now, he understands everything in school itself. I rarely need to go through his books. After the first periodic test, I checked his work, and he confidently said that I no longer had to teach him. That was such a proud moment.

And how has your daughter progressed in Senior KG?

She was admitted to Nursery in January and attended just two months before moving up. At that time, she couldn’t even write the letter ‘A’. But now, she can write three-letter words like ’pan’, ‘cat’, ‘quack’. She can also count and recite from 1 to 50 in Hindi. I’m genuinely surprised and very happy with her progress.

What are some of the values your children have learnt at school?

Both of them have learnt important life values like sharing, caring, kindness, and politeness. Whether it’s about sharing food, toys, or space, they have become more considerate and thoughtful. I’ve seen their generosity not just at home, but even when they’re playing with friends outside. The school is building its academic base and shaping them into good human beings.

Any final thoughts about Apeejay School, Kharghar?

I’m satisfied with the school. Especially the Pre-primary Section — it’s excellent. The progress my daughter has made in such a short time shows that the foundation being laid is strong. And as I believe, if the base is good, the child’s future will be bright — not just academically, but in all aspects of life.
