Due to extreme summer conditions in West Bengal, various colleges are now conducting online classes for students. This step has been taken following a recent notification by the state government to either advance summer vacations or completely transition into virtual mode because of the summer heat.
A few weeks ago, the West Bengal government had directed private schools to advance summer vacation to May 2 keeping in mind the health and well-being of young learners. Private schools in West Bengal have abided by the notification and have already switched to the online mode of teaching-learning. This has been implemented without causing any disruptions to the ongoing Board of Secondary Education or the Council of Higher Secondary Education’s examinations.
