Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, organised a comprehensive Eye Check-up Camp for its students as part of its continued commitment to health and well-being. The camp was conducted by renowned eye specialist Dr. Anisha Bhasin (MBBS, DNB) and supervised by Mr. Anil Soni, Senior Manager at Thind Eye Hospital, Jalandhar. The initiative reflects the school’s proactive approach in raising awareness about eye care among children and the larger community.

During the first day of the camp, students underwent detailed assessments including visual acuity screening, refractive error detection, and primary eye health consultations. Doctors also provided personalised counselling on maintaining healthy eyesight and recognising early signs of vision concerns. The initiative proved valuable as several students received timely guidance and referrals for further evaluation.

The school administration shared that the camp aims not only to diagnose issues but also to educate young learners about preventive eye care. With increasing screen exposure due to digital learning trends, such check-ups have become essential in safeguarding children’s vision health.

The camp will continue tomorrow and remains open to all parents, staff members, and community residents. Everyone is encouraged to make use of this free and impactful health service to ensure clear and healthy vision for themselves and their children.

Principal and faculty members expressed gratitude to Thind Eye Hospital for their expert support in making the event a meaningful success. The warm participation and engagement of students highlight the importance and acceptance of wellness initiatives at the school.

Through this endeavour, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, reinforces its belief that good health forms the foundation of successful learning and a brighter future.

Students gained awareness about eye health, the importance of early detection, and daily practices for stronger, healthier vision — reminding them that protecting their eyes is key to academic success and overall well-being.
