In an effort to help students make informed academic decisions, Dr Rajesh Kumar Chandel, school Principal, Apeejay School, Model Town, addressed students on the crucial topic of choosing the right stream after Class X. The interactive and thought-provoking session proved to be both insightful and motivating, offering students’ much-needed clarity as they stand at an important crossroads in their academic journey.
Dr Chandel emphasised that selecting a stream is not merely about marks or societal pressure, but about understanding one’s interests, strengths, and long-term aspirations. He reassured students that every stream, Humanities, Commerce, and Science, offers vast and diverse career opportunities when chosen thoughtfully and pursued with dedication.

While discussing the Humanities stream, he highlighted career paths such as Civil Services, law, journalism, psychology, education, and social sciences, stressing the growing demand for analytical thinkers and creative professionals. Speaking about Commerce, he elaborated on opportunities in finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, management, economics, and emerging fields like business analytics and Fintech. The Science stream, he explained, opens doors to careers in engineering, medicine, research, technology, environmental sciences, and innovation-driven fields shaping the future.
Dr Chandel also encouraged students to explore their potential, seek guidance from teachers and parents, and reflect deeply before making a decision. He reminded them that success is not defined by a particular stream but by passion, perseverance, and continuous learning.
The session concluded on an inspiring note, instilling confidence and positivity among students. Many left feeling reassured and empowered to take responsibility for their choices. The address served as a valuable guide, helping students approach the next phase of their academic life with clarity, confidence, and optimism.
