Guiding students towards a bright future

Career counselling events are crucial as they provide students with valuable insights into various career paths, helping them make informed decisions about their future. These sessions offer guidance on skill development, higher education options, and competitive exams, empowering students to align their academic pursuits with their professional aspirations.

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, hosted an insightful Career Counselling Session for students of Classes IX to XII. The session, aimed at guiding students in making informed career choices, was conducted by Mrs Abha Gupta, PGT Biology, and Mr Dinesh, PGT Commerce.

The event began with a warm welcome by Dr Vineet Vasishtha, Principal of the school, highlighting the significance of career planning. He urged students to align their academic pursuits with their future aspirations and encouraged them to make the most of the session to clear any doubts about their career options.

Mrs Gupta addressed the students interested in the Science stream, shedding light on various career opportunities in fields such as medicine, biotechnology, and research. She elaborated on the importance of competitive exams like NEET and JEE, offering valuable insights into effective preparation strategies. Additionally, she discussed emerging career paths in environmental sciences, genetics, and artificial intelligence in medicine, emphasising the growing scope of interdisciplinary studies.

Mr Dinesh then guided students leaning towards Commerce and Management careers. He discussed career options in Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretary, Banking, and Finance, stressing the relevance of competitive exams such as CA Foundation, CS, and CFA. He also introduced students to emerging fields like business analytics, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship in today’s dynamic economy.

“The career counselling session was truly an eye-opener for us. The teachers provided us with detailed information about different career options and how we can prepare for them. The interactive nature of the session made it even more engaging. I now feel more confident about planning my future, and I sincerely thank our teachers and school for organising such a wonderful and informative session,” Navya, a student of Class IX, shared.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging by asking questions about career pathways, subject combinations, and skill development. Both speakers provided insightful responses, offering practical advice on internships, higher education opportunities, and skill enhancement.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head Boy, expressing gratitude to the speakers for their guidance. The session proved to be a highly enriching experience for students, giving them clarity on various career options and the steps they need to take to achieve their aspirations.

Dr Vasishtha expressed his confidence in the session, stating that such initiatives empower students to make informed decisions about their future careers.
