“Graduation is not the end, rather it’s the beginning of a new journey”

The sorrow of leaving behind everything and starting a new journey with a big smile is what a graduation ceremony is all about. It is one such event where students experience a mix of emotions, which is full of excitement, nervousness, pride along with a sense of responsibility. For teachers, it is quite similar. Watching the students grow, whom they guided throughout is very satisfying.

To encourage and congratulate young learners for commencing a new educational journey, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park recently organised the Graduation Ceremony for class 5 students, during which teachers blessed the kids, who geared up to enter a new phase of learning, leaving behind the primary years.

The formal ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamps and invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha, which was followed by a warm welcome of the parents. Teachers of Class 5 further presented citations for the graduate children.

Ms. Shweta Oberoi, the Primary Incharge, addressed the gathering and said “Graduation is not the end, rather it’s the beginning of the new era. It seems as if the day just passed when all of you entered Apeejay as toddlers with mischievous smiles and the whimpering cry. And now the time has arrived to bid-adieu to primary school.”

She further added, “I believe what you all have learnt in primary school will never leave you. In this memorable journey, you met people at every step, who you made friends. We exchanged so many happy moments, had fun, and got tied in a great bond.”

Mr. Sandeep Singh Kathuria, Principal of the school, congratulated every student for entering into the middle-school and instructed them to be ready for the formal education. He also motivated students to involve themselves into self and research-based studies.

Shivani Dhingra, mother of Ayaan Dhingra said, “A graduation ceremony for class 5th was such a special occasion that marked the end of their primary school years, and the beginning of a new chapter in their academic journey. It was a time to celebrate their accomplishments and the hard work they had put in to reach this milestone. The event was marked by joyous emotions and bittersweet farewell as the students prepared to move on to middle school. Overall, a special moment will be remembered by all.”

Later, to make class 5 students feel special, students of class 4 sang a motivational song for their seniors. The gala event culminated with an exhilarating vote of thanks, school song and national anthem, infusing a spirit of zeal and positivity. It was a day full of celebration and jubilation for everyone.
