Recently, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, celebrated its 106th Founder’s Day with deep reverence and joy. The ceremony began with a floral tribute to Dr Stya Paul (Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group), whose life and ideals continue to inspire the Apeejay community. A soulful bhajan by the school choir filled the auditorium with warmth and serenity, setting a graceful and reflective tone for the day.
Students took the stage with confidence and creativity. A semi-classical dance performance captivated the audience with its elegance, followed by a rhythmic yoga presentation that reflected the school’s focus on balance between body, mind, and spirit. Each performance spoke of discipline, teamwork, artistic expression, and pride in tradition.
Celebrating human values
The Principal, Mr Yash Pal Sharma, addressed the gathering, reminding everyone of the founder’s vision rooted in values and excellence. The highlight of the day was the announcement of the Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values. This year’s recipients included Jasnoor Kaur and Moesha Sharma from the Middle Category, Sparsh Puri from the Secondary Category, and Lavanya Gupta and Saanvi Sharma from the Senior Secondary Category. Their recognition stood as a reminder that true achievement comes from character, compassion, and a commitment to service.

A special moment arrived when the Principal read the message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. The message inspired both students and staff to continue striving for holistic growth and lifelong learning. Proud parents also shared their reflections, expressing gratitude for the nurturing environment that shaped their children’s success.
A fitting conclusion
The celebration ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Vice-principal Ms Aarti Shorey Bhat, who acknowledged every contribution that made the day memorable. The event left everyone with a renewed sense of pride, gratitude, and unwavering commitment to the school’s enduring values.
